Ozzi Gears Summer Sales Start Now
You've probably been here before: thinking you bought a chair that looked compact in the photo, but took up half the boot once it arrived...
Here are 10 things to consider before buying your compact outdoor chair from an online brand.
The word "compact" gets used very loosely online, & you've probably left a chair at home because it "almost" fit in the boot once everything else is packed.
Look for the exact folded dimensions, not just the marketing photo of the chair setup. The Ozzi Gear chair folds down to 38cm which is comparable to a 1lt waterbottle.
Every brands calls their chair "lightweight". But based on how real life people actually use their chairs, it must be under 2kg. Anything more becomes a gym-workout to carry when multiple chairs are involved.
The Ozzi Gear chairs weigh 1.7kg and support upto 150kg without any issues.
These ideas all sound excellent on paper...But when it comes to the outdoors, we've learnt that moving parts = parts that break easily...
The last thing you want it a chairs base that breaks or moves unexpectedly under your bodies full weight, leading to a fall. The Ozzi Gear chair has no loose or moving parts once the chair is setup. Just pure comfort you can trust for life.
Be wary of brands claiming "comfortable for everyone" without proof. A lot of compact chairs are built around one narrow body type & are comfortable in-store, but less so after 20 minutes.
The Ozzi Gear team built two styles of compact chairs, both for different situations.
The compact chair for on-the-go situations & the Lounger for all day relaxing - BOTH remain extremely compact when folded.
A brand's track record matters: newer companies haven't had time to learn what actually breaks under real use.
In 3 years, Ozzi Gear has sold over 350,000+ chairs, 21 redesigns and hundreds of durability tests refining this frame.
You know that moment when everyone's already setup & you're still on the ground, battling loose parts & trying to pull the chairs canopy over the frame?
The Ozzi Gear chair features a unique no-loose-part design that clicks open in less than 10-seconds - no connecting bits or struggles!
For 99% of "compact" outdoor chairs on the market, compact normally means compromising comfort & back support.
A flat seat puts pressure on your hips and leads to lower back pain, while a hammock-style canopy spreads your weight evenly, and offers support everywhere you need.
Ozzi Gear have performed 21 seperate canopy changes to get to where they are today.
This matters more than it sounds. If you are older, have a bad back, or are buying for a parent, a chair that's easy to sit in but hard to rise from isn't actually convenient.
The Ozzi Gear chair sits 59cm off the ground, meaning you can get up cleanly, even first thing in the morning with a stiff back, without needing someone to pull you out.
A brand new design that's just hit the market might look great in an ad, and show a dozen friendly 5-star reviews.
Neither tells you how the product actually holds up over time.
The Ozzi Gear's current design has 4 years of real-world use and 1,700+ verified 5-star reviews available for anyone to read on their website & Trust Pilot.
The honest truth is that most "compact" outdoor chairs on the market are NOT worth the price tag.
When you weigh up everything you need to sacrifice for the compact package, the value starts fading.
But Ozzi Gear have managed to find a way to retain everything you love about your existing outdoor chair, and fit it into an ultra-light and compact package that is perfect for any outdoor event!

Because it's built to a completely different standard & solves a few very big problems! Cheap $40 chairs often break after one season, feel uncomfortable to sit in, and are too big, heavy & difficult to carry.
Over 45,000 customers have now switched for all the reasons you'll read on this page, and most buy 2–4 chairs as a long-term investment in comfort and reliability!
Yes. Unlike upright, traditional camp chairs that cause back and neck pain, ours has a hammock-style design that cradles your whole body for all-day comfort!
We've tested the Ozzi Gear chair with users ranging from 145cm to 195cm.
-Under 150cm: feels slightly higher but still comfortable
160–195cm: ideal sitting height & back/ neck support
Over 195cm: our Lounger model gives extra shoulder support
No. We rounded the front edge and added padding so it doesn’t dig into your thighs - unlike most compact chairs. Customers love that they can sit for hours without pressure or discomfort.
Standard feet can sink into soft surfaces. That’s why most customers add our Sand/Snow Mat accessory - it spreads the load and keeps you stable anywhere. (You can add it to your order today and save on shipping.)
No. We’ve redesigned the chair 16 times to perfect the seating angle and centre of gravity. The result? A chair that feels solid, with no wobbling or tipping - even when you lean forward or sideways.
When getting up, we recommend placing your hands on the canopy (sides) and using it to help push yourself up. All materials on our chairs are designed to withstand strenuous use/conditions.
It folds to just 35cm - small like your waterbottle!
Fits in 99% of carry-on luggage, van drawers, motorcycle panniers, and even backpacks.
None. Unlike other chairs with 5–10 poles, ours is fully all-in-one. Telescopic arms and secured canopy mean nothing to connect, lose, or forget.
The chair safely supports up to 150kg. We’ve tested it well beyond that for durability and stability.
Every chair comes with a standard 2-year warranty & optional Lifetime Warranty upgrade at checkout. If anything ever goes wrong, we’ll repair or replace it — no questions asked.
We offer 45-day risk-free returns. Try it on your next adventure, and if you don’t love it, send it back for a full refund.

We bought two Ozzi Gear chairs after much deliberation by me over the price and the quality especially as I’d been scammed on FB on previous occasions plus they were I thought at the time expensive. However both my and me are amazed at the quality and the thought that has gone into the design and build quality. They take up less than half the space of the previous chairs we had in our campervan. We are also able to carry these in our backpacks for the day comfortably. I’m also a biker and they fit on my bike no problem. We were so impressed with the chairs we’ve ordered the Ozzi Gear table.
I love the compact size and weight as well as the ease of assembly.
It's everything as advertised; compact, strong, comfy, easy to set up. I can't add more!
I ordered 3 chairs and they all went up quite easily. Beforehand I got reminders to watch a video of how to initially set up the chairs and it was quite simple. I really like how easy it is to put the chairs up and take them down. Not ultra lightweight but definitely easy to carry round with the shoulder strap. I bought them for an event next year so haven’t yet used them properly yet but very happy with my purchase.
Great bit of kit, small enough to fit in my back pack, light enough to not know its there, up in seconds down the same, super strong and sturdy, higjly recommend.
Comfortable chair, easy to fold/fold up
You need to watch set up video...When done properly they are comfy and rigid..Ordered a second one.
Loved it from the moment I opened it and enjoying the comfort of it ‼️I’m happy that I ordered it and I would recommend to everyone. It’s a must have :)
