I've yet to use it outside of the home when trying it out but it is well made and fits the base of the chair well. I can see that it would work to increase the surface area on sand, preventing the chair legs sinking.

The Ground Sheet is an absolutely necessary equipment here up in the Arctic. Its often snow or wet wet wet, so if I want to be in an upright posission I have to use the Ground Sheet.

Tried the groundsheet at the beach. Performed well and stopped the chair sinking in the sand. A little bit hard to vet the last leg in but there are loops to pull on which helped.
